Venus

I'm never sure what words to write, I take it day by day

Often times, my deeper thoughts, I don't know how to say

My mind has got me shaded in stripes of black and white

But I wish to live in color, where the moon and stars reside

I'll meet you there, in the rings of Saturn, if you crave it

Jupiter, the joy, or Mars, the war, you name the planet

Now even though the lab coats and their odds condemn and shame us

Nobody can keep me from our home, the music, Venus

Life exists much freer there, in strokes of violet bloom

But if I knew how to remain I wouldn't cling to you
