One Life

We only have one life in which we strive to do our best

When overcoming setbacks life can feel like one big test

There's only so much a person can take

Without experiencing a mental break

Sometimes emotions have driven me insane

I have faith that despite the struggles

I can control my own brain

I used to get so overwhelmed and hopeless everyday

I learned to treat myself with compassion instead of blame

I will remember the knowledge I have gained
