Church Bells

Waking up when the rooster crow on the rock-hard bed still halfway dosed

Don't recall all of what happened, just gotta get back home

And given my one call I use it on my brother to bail me out again

Tell him ill pay him back when the money comes, after I pay the rent

Now we're driving down the county line and I hope I can make it back in time

For the Sunday service with my family, so my gal won't leave me

But when I got back they were already gone so I'll pour me a glass and sing a song

Fore I stumble down to the church, to listen to God's word

And all this drinking, and sitting alone

Has got me thinking, where in the hell I went wrong

So, when I hear the church bells, ringing through the holler

I know I got to make it there, cause I can hear her calling
