Expectations

I love the color pink but don't wear it all the time

My nails aren't always painted and there is no reason why

I'd never wear a skirt because that simply isn't me

Even though it's pretty, it's not who I want to be

I do my make up time to time, but it's just for myself

Hell would freeze before I'd ever dress as someone else

I am me and I'm not changing but you get a choice

You can stay or walk away, now don't be acting coy

"How can you be trans if you're not living in a dress?"

"How are you a woman if you're not looking your best?"

"You're not wearing make up so you still must be a man?"
