Wake up, same old painted smile Wear it proud, been doing this a while

Mirror shows a stranger's face But I know it's mine, can't be replaced

Every laugh, every word rehearsed A script I wrote, now a blessing, now a curse

If I let it slip, would they turn away Or would they beg me just to stay

I can't remember who I was before This mask became a part of me, something more
