Incanto for Eλλas

Rummaging through the past, I found Eλλas

She is an inspiration to be sure

However imperfect, many worthwhile principles survived Eλλas, and I find myself returning to them: the search for truth, goodness, and virtue

A return to the past is fine indeed, but be careful what you bring back from history

Not all ideas were meant to return, and some people, in fact, are focused on only bringing back the very worst of ideas

Sure, Neoclassical architecture is beautiful, but it's meaningless without civil liberties and equity for the people

Autocrats are tricky creatures

I hope that someday they realize the full extent of their mistakes

The artists of the Renaissance; they saw Eλλas

And with effort, they tried to bring back antiquity: its beauty, morality, and ideals
