I had to stop calling home

It's the loneliest phone line

A dial tone echoed like the drone of a flatline

There's no happily ever after to cosign

The last gasp of the love we had has now capsized

So lemme tell you where the mark of this lash lies

From the second we decided to slash ties

An open gash carved upon the path of our past lives

I ran the math, far too many moments had passed by

I should've known that without hope we would nose-dive
