Betrayed by the Light

Beneath the crimson sky, the earth devours the dead

Steel and flesh entwined in ruin, a testament to dread

I feel the iron bite my soul, my strength begins to wane

Yet I have lived a righteous path, through sacrifice and pain

The cries of men are fading fast, drowned by the thunder's call

While shadows rise like specters grim to witness as I fall

I served the light, I bore its weight, my faith a sacred shield

But here I lie, abandoned now, upon this bloodied field

Oh, where is the light that once guided my hand?

Why has it faltered, forsaking its stand?

The prayers I've whispered now scatter like ash
