The desire to isolate ourselves from others was, in the beginning, in our eyes, a way of preventing ourselves from making them suffer with our ills

It's by cutting ourselves off from the world that we lose the human in us

Most of the time, we are forced to resort to this option when an emotional shock or trauma becomes too much to bear

Our wounded heart, thinking it will be repaired, forces us to submit to our impulses in order to purge our being

Artificial paradises, such as alcohol, help us to drown our unhappiness, but they don't make it go away

The higher the dose, the greater the physical and psychological consequences

The mutilation, the self-destruction, the desire to leave this world, to see it disappear with us, the desire to put an end to this cycle of chaos, intensifies
