Soliloquies and whiskey

This lonely road i go, seems to be the only one who knows me the most 

I never brag or boast about things i know or things ive seen or places ive been. 

I pray to the Lord my soul to keep, and repentance of my sin. 

Till then ill keep striving for them golden gates & when i see my brother again.

Two years you've been gone and its going on three 

I keep drowning my sadness in whiskey & weed 

thinking this is the day you walk thru that door and i see my friend 

You let out a grin, and i see a smile

Thinking like thats something i havent done in a while

Cuz im happy & sad all at the same time
