Tiger Cage

Sometimes I feel just like a tiger in a cage, pacing back & forth with no way out

Just another chapter, just another page, in a book I once read then forgot about

Then one day I pick it up, read a couple lines, and suddenly I travel back in time

To somewhere in another life or somewhere in a dream, or somewhere that I know that I have been

How complicated it all becomes when I turn that page

And I feel like a Tiger in a cage, like a tiger

Late at night while the sky is clear and the clouds cast a shadow on the moon

I look out to the stars, and I sadly realize, that some of them may fade away too soon

How complicated yet how simple is my rage
