I've written poems on the walls of the house in my mind

And lyrics to my songs on my phone and when I die

I hope that you see why I'm the way I am

Why I bother you and tell you what's always on my mind

And seem like way too much, too much of the time

I hope you're the one to give me a fair try

And I can't seem to close out the past

Moments I wish I could forget but made me who I am

And behind locked doors I keep my mistakes and sins

Oh but if you come knocking, how do I let you in
