I stand in the sunlight, where the river runs deep

My hair shines golden, like dreams in their sleep

The breeze holds secrets, the sailors can't tell

And they follow my gaze, as if under a spell

I sing my song from the rock so high

Above the Rhine, where the echoes fly

They see my face, they lose their way

And to the rocks, they'll drift away
