Wings of Change

Left my home, just a boy in the night With dreams in my pocket, I took to flight

Mom's warm embrace, echoes in my mind But I had to leave, seek what I might find

Brothers and friends, they waved goodbye As I stepped into the unknown sky

Thought the world would be kind and bright But shadows crept in, turned day to night

Oh, I feel so alone in this foreign place Searching for a smile, a familiar face

Through the storms and the pain, I rise again With a voice from above, whispering my name

Days turned to weeks, laughter grew faint Lost in the crowd, I felt like a saint

But darkness surrounded, I fell to my knees Fighting the demons that will then let me breathe

Yet through the tears, I found my way With a friend by my side come what may
