For the Moon’s Light

In the twilight, where day meets night A story of love and fading light

The sun loved the moon with all his might He'd burn so bright to give her life

But when the night fell, he'd fade away To let her shine in her own way

Every dusk, he'd bow his head To let the moon rise in his stead

With every death, his love would grow A silent vow, she'd never know he died

Every night for the moon's light Fading away so she could rise

A love so deep it knew no end In every breath, he'd break and bend

She danced in the sky, a silver queen Unaware of the love unseen

The stars would whisper, but she'd never hear The sun's last words as he disappeared
