Ode to Eve

Did He know from the start that you'd eat from that tree

You can touch it just don't bite it don't you reach that final peak

When you jumped off of that mountain God's creation turned to lust

Burdened knowing evil bound to go back to the dust

And you dragged the first man with you Lord how could he resist

He had no one else to turn to he had no one else to kiss

And the words the serpent hissed brought the world into sin

But they also brought us knowledge so I'm kinda glad he did

Well it's all your fault but I lay no blame

Cause if I was in your sandals

I think I'd do the same
