REMINISCING

It's wild how a song or a smell can take you back in time almost like a time machine to when you were younger

The lines around my eyes and my hands are getting finer I don't feel no different they appear as a reminder

That time don't stop for no one all that's certain is death and taxes

If we got 120 years I've used a quarter fraction

I wonder if the people in my memories remember me or if I'm just an extra in their movie scenes

And when they reminiscing do I cross their mind

And when they hear a certain song do they go back in time

To a place when we were younger before the world made us so jaded

When we were optimistic as the day we graduated

They used to tell us those days were the glory days
