A Steady Hope

There's a young man in the desert trying to quench a thirst

Looking for answers, trying to find some worth

In a world that doesn't know him, doesn't know anyone

For most it was barren and death on the land

But he dreamed of a life for the dirt in his hands

He looks over his shoulder, he ain't going home

It's a hard thing to fathom, a steady hope

It's not easy to ask for the dirt beneath the feet

Of villager's already struggling to eat

But there's light in that grave, gonna roll back the stone
