My Soul

I've heard that laughter will chase away the blues

I must believe that miracles like this are true

There's no denying I need some lofty goal

To mend the hole that's hiding in my soul

You might say I am telling some fancy tales

And this does not happen to anybody else

You might say I am wearing a face I stole

That isn't true, it's emotion from my soul

I've heard that love can brighten the darkest days

I must believe that isn't some idle phrase
