Now you're hearing my actual life with hand-carved precision

I'm far from perfect, was a target workin' for no larger purpose

Shut down everything in my life when I'd start rehearsin'

Made me tough to like and even harder to work with

But the bounce back made it easier to market resurgence

…. And this is not a facade

Being negative is an impossible job

So even though I busted tail and got to the top

I almost squandered everything so I wanted to stop
