Forgiven

I guess I really thought that I could escape from this madness all on my own

I guess I really thought that I was above it all thought I could do this alone

But now I realize that I was so blind

Hiding from what it was I was trying to find

Oh I've been forgiven by the grace of the King

And oh I've been convicted I can feel it in me

And now finally I see the light that I've been running from all of my life

Was bound to the wicked but those chains have lifted and I've been forgiven

Temptation is a cold and winding road I know because I've been there I've walked it quite a ways Some people take it thinking that it leads to happiness and end up in a much darker place

But there's a God above who's sacrificed
