Summer Friends

Another scorching summer Sunday morning, we'll take our coffee out to the pool

It's days like these, you've got to fight for a breeze, everybody's gonna try and stay cool

The old folk never leave their houses, doctor said the sun is bad for your skin

But if the sun is shining, well I don't mind, I'm going out for a swim

We got Zack and Buffet on the radio, a Hammock hanging in the shade

You and me and our summer friends, just chilling in the shallow end

Our neighbor's got their towels and they're traveling cooler, I guess they're gonna spend the day

We'll fire up the grill in the afternoon, but for now we'll let the children play

The birds are singing out a summer song, all the squirrels are jumping tree to tree

Be nice if this day lasts forever, oh wait I think I feel a breeze
