Give 'em someone that they'd be impressed by

Get all of their friends and the press to undress what you stand by

I unhang the mask and repaint it to cover the fades

And the cracks it's picked up from all these years

No one appreciates your scars, they cut deep

It's above the skin your face, that they keep

Entertaining themselves with

That's all they see

When they think something's beautiful

Nothing more than the cover on your face

I wish that things would change
