Six Months

Six months spent chasing shadows of former glories

And it's been six months spent chasing rainbows into the sun

Could be the cause or effect, well it isn't that direct where I'm standing

Seeing images recalled like the words on the tip of your tongue

The knee jerk reaction of a line in the sand

(These) Extenuating circumstances getting out of hand

There's endless possibilities, but nothing seems to draw to a close

Time to forget all the lessons I was learning this morning

You know, people come and go, but the world still turns just the same

Could be the past or the future, though it really doesn't suit the extremes
