Man of Habit

On the road from here to here, a road I take every day

There's a train station I pass by, it could take me so far away

Grades and jobs and schedules have all kept me off that train

I'm a man of habit you see, I keep every day the same.

Still, some day I'd like to leave here and go with a guitar and a fresh set of strings

Making no plan, just getting out of the flow, so I can see what a singing life brings

And only when my strings break would I come back

And I don't really care if that puts my life off track

Saving nickels and shining shoes, while being told to wait
