Donut Hole

When I was a little lad, I tried to listen to my dad

When more than once or twice, he'd offer this advice

As you wander through this life, whatever may be your goal

Keep your eyes on the donut, son, and not upon the hole

But Pete and Jim and Mel, and Matt and Wally tell ya

Such a sweet, sweet smell, could make your eyeballs swell

Gonna watch them fry that dough, and let the donuts roll through the powdered sugar bowl
