I was playing Animal Crossing when the world fell apart

On the tail of a terrible illness

But the virus wasn't here yet

Or so they said

I tried to be brave when they called it on my birthday

Then I lost my job and the rigor mortis set in

The controls under my fingertips were all I could control

The world shrank in an instant, held us ransom in these walls

And I had a sense of safety in between my hands
