Stealthily, a thought steps deeper inside

It doesn't hurt anymore, just the habit returns

I draw a white sheet over everything, a light cover

Here, the wind does not reach, the veil-thin fabric does not flutter

Shattered fragments of memory cover it with tumbling nothingness

This is a weightless burden, easily running out from under it

It builds an uninvited nest in my brain

I write basic signs in the sand with a stick

I write them, only I read them, I answer myself

There are signs, unmistakable

There is no escape, I see it, even if I don't want to
