Allow me to state my point of view in relation to the ongoing plans on online first years' orientation..I'll begin by asking a few simple questions...The administration has stated what they want.But what do we want as comrades? What impact does their decision have on us,the key stakeholders? What implications do these intended steps have on our guardians, parents and sponsors alike? The incoming first years actually are our younger brothers and sisters alike. We existed before them to make things better for their arrival. It will be a collective failure on us if we fail to speak up when it matters. Truth be told,the ground isn't fair on all comrades. It will be injustice to exert much more pressure for laptops, bundles and network system on the comrades, guardians and sponsors to our siblings from humble background. Now that there exist such a greater socioeconomic gap,how does the administration intend to bridge such a gap?..Does the institution possess the capacity to conduct online orientation for 2560+ comrades ?..Can this course realise the intended purposes of orientation? Will anybody die incase this process is pushed forward at a time everybody will be on a neutral ground? It's time we focus on both parties to make rational decisions.
