Tethers

I remember standing in the water with you. We would look down while the surf goes out; stay planted like you're moving through a wormhole. Shifting. Shifting. Shifting away.

Sitting around the house; seeing how many pair of glasses we could put on. And the world would look so crooked, blurry and far. Crooked. Crooked. Crooked and alone.

Are all these times connected by tethers?

So if I pull on one, we'll be closer together.

If all these times are held together by tethers.

Then If I pull too hard, I'm afraid that they'll sever.
