The pills look like candy, a rainbow in my palm,

Temporary paradise, promise of a deceptive calm.

Chase away the demons, silence whispers in my brain,

But this counterfeit high never truly numbs the pain.

They tell me all this money, it glitters like a star,

But diamonds don't heal wounds, can't mend this broken heart.

These fleeting highs ain't worth the crash that burns my soul,

Empty bottles, bitter pills, they take a wicked toll.

The world paints success as gold, but inside I'm turning grey,
