Moving Backwards

Maybe if I didn't try so hard, I'd be further than where I am

But have patience I'm just a man, and I'm doing all that I can

In everything I do I give the best of me

Until there's nothing left and all I'm left with is the rest of me

Feel like I been stressed, but every breath is still a blessing G

I can't even flex, I know that God has been protecting me, through everything

Cause as I sit and think how far I came

There aint nothing I would change

Cause I prospered through the pain

I flourished through the flames

And when I needed time to heal and grow

I sat in silence and found solace through the rain
