So where do we go

After a fire in the garden that was so carefully grown

And there's no safety in the solitude to carry me home?

The brunt is on the shoulders of the bearer alone

It's no one's fault but now I'm reelin from the turbulence and loss of faith

Wish I'd have seen the signs to cut this off and walk away

Wish I could break apart this lock so I could stop the pain

But we're not the same, so I'm stumblin through the talk of shame

And now I'm drownin in this cognitive dissonance

The purity of love has spelled the loss of my innocence

The disconnect is far too wide for me to close the gap

And I'm losin grip on the tethers that keep my soul intact
