Liberated

That mill stood like a rock

On which my father built his life

He could tell you to the day

How long it took to save the money

So he could buy this house

From father to son they worked that mill

Grim as the reaper with a heart like hell

The fabric of our lives was woven with the steel

Every stick of furniture, every single meal

As a boy it was a place I'd learnt to hate
