But still tend

To remind yourself of what's lost

So don't humor me with half-hearted surprises

cuz' I'll play along as if there's nothing wrong

Am I blind, or am I lacking understanding?

Could it be I was the punchline of the joke?

And now the place where you could usually catch me spiraling

Was traded for a bar to grab a drink or two
