Follow me into the distant past

Back in time we find beginnings, a host of life not meant to last

But there are few that find their place, a spot in time to to run the race

Given a gift, rich and free to embrace

Follow me into what's to come

What have we done, we chose the outcome from a billion different sums

Despite a call to change our ways, still we set this earth ablaze

Undeserving, now we give back our days
