Blest be the tie that binds

Our hearts in christian love

The fellowship of kindred minds

Is like to that above

Tea time is over and the governor’s gone home

Put a copper in the wheelchair purse that I have sewn

My hair has grown greasier with every hour

But the faucet was broken and I couldn’t take a shower

My floor’s filled up with papers and bellybutton lint

A drawer full of letters that never could be sent

But tea time’s a treasure of the early afternoon
