Homesick

There was ease in the backwoods, quiet and green

But the spice of life always seemed missing

So I'd read and sing and draw impossible things

Because reality wasn't forgiving

I'd dream a place full of color and limitless wonder

Of things that were bigger than, bigger than me

I'd have big adventures dosed with intentions of

Curing the hurt with a grand remedy

But now I've flown and I'm out here on my own

I thought things would naturally click
