Quiet Days

They tell me I'm the strong one, but I don't feel that way these days

Say that I'm an inspiration, but home alone I contemplate

Do they really know me, or am I just another face

Do they see what I am made of, or am I just commonplace

Cause lately this old town don't feel so comfortable now

They don't know the things I tell them are the things I need to hear

So I say those words to millions, wishing I could hear them in my own ear

They don't know the only way that I can live through the day is

If I help someone else not have to feel this way

But the pain is taking over, and as the numbers start to grow

There are less and less numbers ringing through on my phone
