I met a man who extended his hand to a child whose life was in disarray

His touch was gentle his heart was pure and he helped the child to do their best

It was his love that shone through it was his love that rang true

We all need a hand you know we do

Through the battles through the wars when the ocean roars when like the child we are put to a test

It is love that shines through it is love that rings true
