Thankful

I remember the days I used to pray for this life that I'm living

It was me, myself, and God, nothing was handed or given

But take a look at me now, I made a little a lot

Nothing able to hold me back as I reach for the top spot

Ain't always been sunny days, at times I made my bed in hell

And I could never hold the count all the times that I fell

But I got up, I shook it off the shame I wore I took it off

Continued time and time and hit the ground but don't count it a loss

I spent a lot of days just wondering how could it be

How could everyone be living they dream except for me

Am I just cursed or unlucky, can't put my finger on it

I done my best but didn't end up with the life I wanted
