Peace Like A River

Last night I rested peacefully, I'm thankful for that

Then I woke up and saw the sun peak out and tip up his hat felt the breeze roll by with a wave and a smile

Told me to cool it for a bit and maybe chill for a while

Sat back, started talking to you

I know you listening

Had a major blow up with a friend, I'm on the fence again

Heart a little wounded

That's a bruise, I need a stitch in it

Life is complicated, I need the one who created it

Then I call on Jesus

No other name I know can give me peace like a river

And it's overflowing with joy
