Hijab

We worked together in the college commons

Little Muslim girl with old fashioned parents

I stole some glances when she'd redo her hijab

Never saw a sunset to match her sleepy eyes

We'd share espresso talk about the movies

She had a curfew, her brothers were so huge

I'd give a million for a glimpse of her shower

I'd never make a move she was out of my league

Then I found myself in a corner of the stockroom

Her arms around me mine straight up like a hijack
