Feet on the Ground

When I was you’d walk me up a mountain, and half way up I'd want to go back down

You’d hold my hand and say let’s keep on going

You wouldn’t let me stop you showed me how

You taught me ways to always keep on climbing, and showed me not to be afraid

You told me how to keep my feet on the ground, whilst lifting me up until today

Spinning me round and round and no one could hurt me, no not even if they tried

Spinning me round and round with those yellow ribbons in my hair

And no one could hurt me even if they tried

I remember driving to all those places, and watching those waves crash against the wall
