I could see myself running around in the wild, wild northern wind

Getting to know the shapes of things like birds in flight and lightning and trees

Learning how to fish and to trap and making everything I need

Like fishing poles and fire pits and moccasins and a place to sleep

But I could not see myself away from you

Where language is like birds to me and the people are like nothing I've ever seen

Where the land is wild and endless I could learn to build a cabin there
