Sleep Walking

Like the blindest sheep purposely naive

Live our days like nights while we walk in our sleep

I had a doctor appointed today for minor pain

I remember the time it was five to eight

I went to the front desk and I signed my name

The lady said to have a seat probably be a tiny wait

She offered me a water then politely asked if I had ate

I made a dumb joke said no can I try the steak

She laughed and said I could come back now right this way

A nurse took me to my room and checked my height and weight

The next few minutes would determine how my life would change
