You hear sirens from off in the distance

They're getting louder and louder and louder

Something distorted.

And you're lying awake in bed, it's very late,

It wasn't a night of reveling you came from.

No, you were just there. You couldn't sleep, so you laid awake.

The dog's in the other room, cat's at the foot of the bed.

You didn't notice the cat turned to look out the window a while ago.

And those sirens; it seems as if they're coming to your house.

But as with anything like this, it can't be, it can't be that.

Blaring, almost angry, tortured. You start to feel a bit of a tingle.
