It was colder than hell when I landed in Bismarck North Dakota

I started walking cause no one picked me up from the plane

She pulled right up beside me, said "hey cowboy," where you goin'

Just to a hotel down town, but thanks just the same

She said I'll have none of that, throw your bags in the back and get in here

It's way too damm cold and I don't need your death on my mind

And you look like you're lost, cause no one comes here for no reason

I said that's a fact, it's not just the songs I can't find

She worked at the Cottage Café, so I stopped in there for breakfast

She said good morning cowboy, you planning on stickin' around

I said that depends on the service I get from the waitress
