Sometimes I choose the music over you

Sometimes I'm honestly afraid of getting close to you

Cause the closer that we are the better chance I got of hurting you

I don't know what I'm supposed to do

I wanna be a friend who's always there for you

I wanna be close to your heart but what if I end up tearing through

What if we get so close you see I'm crazy and I end up scaring you

But if we aren't close so how can I let you know I care for you

Yeah we friends But you know I'm a skeptical person

So when I have good friends I feel like I don't deserve it

Something I've been working on but I'm scared to leave you hurting
