I run along a space inside a dream

I wonder what the fates have up their sleeves

We're building a ladder, rung by rung

It's seemingly faster come undone

I pick apart the sentences for words

It says that the structure's for the birds

We're digging a hole, but not that deep

Only enough for our heads to sleep

Patience worn, and wearing thin

Remember the warmth that's there within

We're tending the garden, night and day

If only the clouds would bring some rain
